How It Started
A friendship that started in 2011 has grown to a partnership between two highly driven individuals to make an impact in not only the Houston Hospitality Industry but make an impact across the country and the world. We began this journey working with one another at the Houston staple, in the heart of the Midtown Entertainment District, Pub Fiction. This duo, with just about three years of experience each, crossed paths and the vision was instantly formulated.
After a few years of working with one another, we took our own paths in the industry, but the vision remained to open venues together. We are two likeminded individuals that stayed true to the process and took full advantage of an opportunity to take over a venue in the same building that the dream came to fruition.
After our first venture opened shortly before COVID, we were forced to make an adjustment and FAO came to life. FAO is the start of something great that we want to share with every individual looking to have an enjoyable evening any day of the week.
Adonis & Bronson
Adonis
Adonis started his hospitality career in Nacogdoches, Texas while attending school at Stephen F. Austin State University. Through years of working at the local sports bar, Bullfrogs, and the attached night club, The Annex, Adonis’ passion grew for the industry and the first thoughts of opening his own venue started. In the Fall of 2011, the transition to Houston was made and he was brought on to the Pub Fiction team, a staple in the city. Adonis worked his way from door staff to General Manager during his time there. Simultaneously, he was able to manage, bartend and facilitate the company’s growth by aiding in the establishment of satellite locations such as Celtic Gardens, 3rd Floor, and Shot Bar. He later moved on to assist in the establishment of Sage County. To broaden his experience and knowledge of the nightlife industry, Adonis moved to Miami, Florida to further his curiosity. He was quickly brought on board by the SBE Group, where he was able to develop a deeper understanding of the industry, which heightened his eagerness to become a more influential figure in the hospitality industry. With bountiful knowledge and experience, Adonis confidently ventured to Chicago to help establish a concept with one of his mentors in the Highland Park Area. In 2018, he made his way back to Houston where he was able to open a successful concept of his own with his business partner, Bronson.
Bronson
Bronson began his hospitality career in 2008 at a well-known sports bar, Pub Fiction, where he acquired 4 years of experience as a manager and bartender. After some time with the Pub Fiction group, Bronson made his way into the fine dining scene. He was a bartend at a high-end seafood venue called Eddie V’s, and eventually worked his way to head bartender which he held the position for a total of eight years. He felt as though the challenges he faced were not enough, so Bronson stepped away from Eddie V’s for a couple of years and took on the role as the bar manager at SOMA Sushi in the Washington Avenue entertainment district. After a few years of elevating the bar experience at SOMA Sushi, he decided to go back to his roots and was asked to become the General Manager of the Houston staple, Shot Bar. With his time and experience in the many different environments of the hospitality industry, Bronson was able to express his creativity behind the bar and build long lasting relationships in the heart of the city and in multiple districts. As his confidence built and his time in the fine dining scene came to an end, Bronson decided to begin his own adventure by developing and opening his own concept with Adonis in 2019. The knowledge he has acquired by working in the industry for 15 years has allowed him to have a detailed understanding of the Houston hospitality industry on several levels. This includes but is not restricted to sports bars, dive bars, high volume bars, party bars, fine dining, and even large event setup and break down.
